Biography

Dimitris Panagiotou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He studied music from a young age, first as a guitarist in the Conservatoire of Northern Greece and later as a vocalist in the Conservatoire of Kalamaria, the State Conservatoire of Greece and Macedonian Conservatoire of Thessaloniki. In 2007, he joined the Mixed Choir of Thessaloniki, expanding his classical repertoire as a baritone/tenor singer, singing in noumerous concerts and operas in Greece and abroad. During the same year he formed his own band A Kapela as a singer, guitarist and songwriter, with which he recorded an EP, won awards in music competitions and toured. Both projects ran until 2011 when he moved to London for further studies and performance opportunities. In 2014 he finished his BMus with Honours in Music Performance and Production in London Centre of Contemporary Music and focused on coaching singers and tutoring aspiring musicians. Dimitris is one of the singers and songwriters of the project "The City" released in May 2016. In 2018 he acquired the Estill Voice Training Figure Proficiency and since 2021 he is a certified Vocal Health First Aider from Vocal Health Education.
